crescendo house tour

As some of you may recall, I recently reformatted my desktop computer, reinstalling TS3 and redoing my CC folder. As such, I have some new CC, but also am missing some of the stuff I had before. Hence I built a new house for the Crescendo family, which will be much better suited to them. It's not fully decorated yet, but I'll get around to that once generation three is all born. You'll notice that I kept everything pretty similar - the colors, many of the furnishings, flooring, etc.

Without further ado, I present the new Crescendo legacy house! Now with 100% more hot tubs. :D

Front view. I kept it very similar to the previous house, except this one is more square-shaped as opposed to long and narrow, thank God.
No, I haven't done much landscaping yet, though I have since done more than what this picture shows. All in due time.

Back view, showing off where any impending trampoline spam will now occur.

Overhead view of the main floor. There's an entrance way, then the living room/kitchen/dining room, along with the main bathroom, and bedrooms for Degausser and Guernica + Carolina. Aria and Liam also have their own little suite with their bedroom and a private bathroom.

The sunroom/entrance way. It has some couches, bookshelves, a chess table, and easel. And, soon after this picture, also gets a toybox and dollhouse since it is the place to put the toddlers down apparently.

Going to the left from the sunroom is the dining room. ~fancy

Kitchen. Pretty similar except it now has a very-popular breakfast bar.

Living room, again keeping it pretty similar. The rug in the bottom right of this shot is right where there's another door from the sunroom.

Right outside the living room window is the brand new hot tub niche. The doors on the left lead into the sunroom, if you're wondering. Which you're probably not, but now you'll never have to. You're welcome.

Ah, the very exciting hallway shot! Behind the bookshelves is the staircase to go upstairs, and that door you see leads to Aria and Liam's "suite."

On the opposite side of the hall, we have Guernica and Carolina's very girly room.

Next to Degausser's not-so-girly room. Finally, a room to himself! Never can he say that I don't love him.

Across the hall from Degausser's room is the main bathroom. Yep.

The back doors. Well, technically they're almost all windows - shhh!

Aria and Liam's hallway is decorated with portraits of them in their respective primes. I miss you, young, hot Liam.

Aria and Liam's bedroom. There's another dresser with the classic toddler photos, and also an easel for Aria. They also have their own door to the back deck. Master suite, y'all.

Bathroom, so chosen because the name of this set is "Aria." Pretty inspiring, no?

Okay, upstairs. The open area in the top left corner will eventually be a rec area. Next to it is Glory and Silas' room and bathroom, with the nursery for their kids next to that. Across the hall from the nursery is what you'll soon see as a second nursery, ostensibly for Remember, and Noro's room and bathroom beside that. Oh, and then there's another bathroom for general use. The last house only had three bathrooms; I decided to error on the side of abundance with bathrooms this time.

Empty rec area, save for some exercise equipment and some wall art, including but not limited to two Flight of the Conchords posters. Clearly I have my priorities in order with regards to decorating.

Bathroom. Don't be fooled, it does also have both a toilet and a sink.

Okay, this hallway is actually pretty exciting: it has all the spare portraits! Here are Luca, Logan, and Jude . . .

And Daisy, Tautou, and Archer! Daisy has her teen portrait because I felt it captured her lovely personality quite well.

Close-up of Archer's portrait because it is pretty much perfect. ♥

Glory and Silas' bedroom.

And their bathroom.

The nursery is a tad more chaotic, though not as chaotic as when there are four toddlers in it.

This is the second nursery, though I hadn't brought Remember over to Redcliffs at the time I took these shots. You'll see it all decorated soon enough though!

Noro's room. Her bed has since changed because bad bed animations bother me.

And finally, Noro's bathroom.

So that's where you'll see the Crescendos chilling, entertaining, and getting up to all sorts of trouble, I'm sure. I'll have an update later this week, Saturday at the latest. So until then, loves! ♥

I need to hire you and nice_days to decorate my game.

Decorating skizzills...I has none.

Oh man, I am so jealous of nice_days' decorating skills. Her clutter and whatnot is unreal! Maybe when I get this gen all born I'll actually finish decorating - I'll keep telling myself that, at least.

Thank you, darling!
The owl in the nursery? I should be able to find that for you; I'm pretty sure I can narrow it down to like two sites it could be from. I'll try to do a resource list within the next week or two, but, barring that, I'll look for the owl for you when I have a chance. XD

Oh, you don't need to apologize - as I said, when it all comes down to it, it's your game so the most important thing is that you enjoy it. If you feel like playing and snapping some shots, I would absolutely love to see them, but if not, that's totally fine. Let's face it, I've seen a lot of Aria's children in my simming life. ;)

I love it! So much better than my cake houses. XD I call all my houses cake houses because I just expand outwards and upwards, adding layers and decorations, as the sims come and go. I got the name "Cake House" from a book, actually, but that's neither here nor there.

Your house is so full of color and light. I just adore it.

Hee, their original house was definitely a cake house then, so I feel you on that!
Thank you, love. I'm glad you like it! XD

:) I have a soft spot for cake houses.

Pretty House. :)
And, you must have plenty of patience, when I build houses I pretty much throw it all together. Hahah. xD

Thank you! <3

I definitely ran out of patience when I got to the clutter portion of the decorating, which is sad because I love clutter. Oh, well, I'll finish it better later, with any luck!

I am jealous! XD
I love everything; especially Noro's room and Glory and Silas's room! Their rooms are kick ass! :D

Aww, thank you! *blushes* I'm pretty happy with it, though I do feel like I should clutter it up a bit more to "complete" it. You flatter me!

nice house well decorated i cant make houses like that mine are just plain empty things apart from the absolutely nessersary things.

and how do you get those huge portraits mine are just plain small ones?

Thank you! I lose patience decorating so I have sometimes have to do it in stages, but I couldn't live without clutter. XD

I use the best camera in the game, I think it's the Hikon, and then I change the picture size to the large portrait. I think it's by pressing L once you're in the camera mode? It should say all the different key commands right on the screen when you have your Sim take a picture. Sorry, I don't have my game up right now so I can't check for sure, but if you have any issues or anything, let me know and I can definitely check it out.

The house is beautiful. Just like the family.

And may I ask... Where did you get the bunk beds? I really need some about now.
set phasers to "LOVE ME"kittenmittons on May 2nd, 2011 09:47 pm (UTC)
Thank you!

The bunk beds are these ones from MTS. They're not true bunk beds, but you can move them up and down like pictures so they do the trick. XD

This is such a pretty house!!!! I absolutely love it!!! <3<3<3 Do you know where I can get it for download?

Hi, sorry it took me so long to respond! ^^;; Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad to hear that you love it! XD I actually built it myself, it wasn't downloaded from anywhere, but I haven't uploaded it anywhere due to the large amount of custom content used in it. Pretty much all the furniture and decorations are custom content, and even if I uploaded it unfurnished, the windows, doors, even some of the flooring are also custom content and I'm not sure of the creator for some of those. As such, unfortunately I won't be uploading it anywhere as it'd be rude to do so without giving proper credit to the creators - plus the house file would be HUGE! Sorry to let you down. :\

This is house is kind of amazing. Would you mind too much if I build it in my game?
set phasers to "LOVE ME"kittenmittons on April 28th, 2012 03:48 pm (UTC)
Awww, thank you! And no, I would not mind at all. I'd love to see what you come up with if you decide to do that! XD
carizzo08carizzo08 on April 28th, 2012 05:02 pm (UTC)
If I do build it, I will definitely post pictures so you can see it, and I'll make sure to credit you. :)
